Flat Repairs
Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centres are happy to save you money by repairing flat tires. We will first dismount your tire to look at the inside in order to ensure that the tire’s internal structure is intact, and that it can safely bear the load of the vehicle. If the puncture is in the tread and is smaller than ¼” in diameter, it may be possible to repair the tire. Long, deep cuts into the tire that go beyond the tread, or punctures or damage to the sidewalls, cannot be repaired.
Shop Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centres’ selection of new tires and don’t hesitate to ask your questions – a friendly and knowledgeable Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centres representative will be happy to help you choose the best tires for your car and your budget.
FAQs
Yes. There are several visual signs that will indicate the need for new tires, such as: cracking or “dry looking” tire treads or sidewalls, uneven wear on each tire, or anything poking into the tire itself. There are many other, less-obvious, signs as well; therefore, if you think you may need a new set of tires, bring your vehicle in to your closest Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centre, and we’ll help you find a solution.
Yes, rotating your tires is necessary for ensuring they wear evenly, and is crucial to extending the life of your set. Generally, they should be rotated every time you change your oil, or whenever you swap winter tires for summer tires, and vice-versa.
If you’ve had your engine inspected, and everything is functioning optimally, it could be something as simple as re-balancing your tires.
Yes, driving on a repaired tire is completely safe, as long as your mechanic adheres to specific rubber repair standards, and follows strict guidelines. At Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centres, our technicians have vast tire repair experience, are fluent in the standards for tire repair, and use the most up-to-date technology, ensuring safety and durability.
Ideal tire pressure depends totally on the type of vehicle you drive, its brand, as well as its model. Your owner’s manual will contain all the info you need. Ideally, you should verify tire pressure when the tire is “cold” (meaning it has been parked for at least 3 hours), and it should be performed once a month, as well as before any long trips.
