A Guide to Vancouver Pride Week

Car Care July 21, 2016

On July 31, 2016, Vancouver will host one of the largest, highly spirited and most successful arts and cultural celebrations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. The Vancouver Pride Parade, now in its 38th year, celebrates the LGTBQ2+ community, positive social change and individual uniqueness. In 2013, the parade was granted civic status, and today is a renowned event attracting thousands of people from all walks of life.

Rain or shine, the free and inclusive parade will begin in the downtown core on Robson Street at Thurlow Street, continuing through the West End (on Denman Street) to finish at the Sunset Beach Festival site. The days leading up to the parade are also filled with fun and exciting events in and around the city, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Following the parade, about 125,000 attendees will gather together on Sunset Beach for a huge waterfront bash. You can enjoy live music, check out vendor booths, visit the beer garden and revel in the spectacular views of English Bay.
